Animals are a comfort from God, of help when we are troubled and a delight to us in our daily lives. Our pets are such an important part of our lives. They serve us in ways we sometimes don't even recognize. Aside from the daily comfort of the furry presence greeting us at the door or the companionship they give us, our pets may model patience, devotion, love and friendship.
I particularly enjoy painting animals. I want to show the character of each animal, whether regal or funny, energetic or composed.
I also enjoy working with people who love their animals. It's my pleasure to create a portrait that you will enjoy for many years to come, reminding you of your friend. Pastels lend themselves nicely to the textures and colors of fur whether sleek or fluffy.
I'll be happy to paint a portrait of your animal from your photographs, if you have two or more good reference shots of the animal and are willing to give me a bit of creative license in the making of the portrait.
I intend to catch the look and character of your pet in soft pastels, but wish to make this a painting that will be of interest even to those who have never met your pet.

My career has been a journey in search of beauty and truth, which come from God. I seek to show His beauty, power and majesty, and my serenity and joy, however imperfectly translated through the talent He has given me. As I paint, I look forward to daily lessons from my Master, Jesus Christ. I hope that you will see Him shining through the work you see here.
